My poor grandma. So sad.
I wanted to see a bear so bad. One night we drove around town looking for them. It was a blast. Man did we see bears! We watched this one for about a half hour parked ten feet from him. We were hanging out the windows taking pictures and throwing twinkies and he kept coming closer and closer. At one point he got very close to the hood of the car and my sister very seriously said, "Alan, if he wants to get on the car...let him. Alan didn't even hesitate and seriously said, "Ok". I couldn't stop laughing. We had so much fun.
I love this. How often do you see this sign? It said Grizzly bear crossing next four miles. We took this picture about 6 times before we got it on the grizzly bear crossing part. So we have a ton of pictures that have us with scared faces and the sign says next 4 miles. :)
We saw so many animals on the Bison Range!

I have so many beautiful pictures like this. This is on our hike to the mountain lake
Yes that is a bear paw print (most likely a grizzly)
Last Monday (September 20th) my grandpa passed away. He isn't actually my grandpa but feels like it. They have been married 10 years. He made it to 96! So Annie Alan Chelsey and I went up together. My parents also went up in the trailer. We drove halfway Friday and finished Saturday morning. We arrived just before the funeral. My poor grandma was taking it harder than I expected. I'm afraid she is going to be quite lonely.
We did have an enjoyable 3 days after that though. We went to Glacier National Park (beautiful). We bear hunted and found 4 bears (all within 100 yards of where we slept in my uncle's yard.) Most of them were right in the yard. :) We went on a little hike to a beautiful mountain lake and we went to the bison range and saw so much wildlife.
I missed my little family, but knew they were in good hands with Esteban and Abuela. It was a great little break and nice to support grandma. She fell on the last day we were there and ended up in the hospital with a HUGE hematoma. So sad! Talk about getting hit when you are down. She will be in there for a month.

After losing grandparents this year, I hate to see that picture, she looks so lonely. I hope she gets better soon!
I've always wanted to see a real, live bear! I'm so jealous.
Sorry for grandma! She looks so sad!!!
You guys are crazy, throwing twinkies at the bear! That is insane!!!! And the paw print, SCAAAAARY!!!!
John and I were so sad we couldn't come but then we thought maybe our car broke down for a reason - We would have been in a tent on Val's front yard and probably bear food!!
Your poor grandma! My grandpa passed away right after Dylan was born and my grandma is still struggling with it. That's got to be such a trial to deal with at the end of life.
Holy cow! You are nuts! I can't believe the bear stories! And so close to your uncle's house.
